The F-22 Raptor looks like a Sci-fi sketch that somehow got funding, was built with one mission in mind: dominate the sky before the enemy even knows it's there.
This fifth-generation stealth fighter combines supercruise (flying faster than Mach 1 without afterburners), extreme maneuverability through thrust-vectoring engines, and advanced stealth shaping that makes it incredibly difficult to detect on radar.
But the real advantage is its sensor fusion. The aircraft processes radar, infrared, and electronic signals into one clear battlefield picture for the pilot. By the time an opponent realizes the Raptor is nearby, the engagement is usually already over.
Even decades after its first flight, it's still considered one of the most dominant air-superiority fighters ever built.
